Donner Prize
The Award for the best book on Canadian
Public Policy
This year, the Donner
Canadian Foundation proudly celebrates the twelfth
anniversary of the Donner Prize, which annually rewards
excellence and innovation in Canadian public policy
writing.
The aim of this award is to
inspire lively debate on public policy issues and
to reward provocative and excellent work that
speaks to an informed readership.
The 2008 Donner Prize was
awarded to Ken S. Coates, P. Whitney Lackenbauer,
William R. Morrison and Greg Poelzer for their
exceptional book ARCTIC FRONT: DEFENDING CANADA IN
THE FAR NORTH, published by Thomas Allen Publishers.
The
Call for Submissions for the 2009 Donner Prize has just
been announced.
The $35,000 Donner Prize
will be awarded in April 2010 to the author of the most
outstanding and innovative
book on Canadian public policy, with $5,000 awarded
to each of the other shortlisted titles.
