The Donner Prize
The Award for the best book on Canadian Public Policy

This year, the Donner Canadian Foundation proudly celebrates the twelfth anniversary of the Donner Prize, which annually rewards excellence and innovation in Canadian public policy writing.

The aim of this award is to inspire lively debate on public policy issues and to reward provocative and excellent work that speaks to an informed readership.

The 2008 Donner Prize was awarded to Ken S. Coates, P. Whitney Lackenbauer, William R. Morrison and Greg Poelzer for their exceptional book ARCTIC FRONT: DEFENDING CANADA IN THE FAR NORTH, published by Thomas Allen Publishers.

The Call for Submissions for the 2009 Donner Prize has just been announced.

The $35,000 Donner Prize will be awarded in April 2010 to the author of the most outstanding and innovative book on Canadian public policy, with $5,000 awarded to each of the other shortlisted titles.

We would like to thank the following for their generous sponsorship of the 2008/2009 Donner Prize Award ceremony
